Brief History of the College

The Madonna College of Health Technology (MACOHTECH), Olokoro, Umuahia, founded in the year 2020, belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Umuahia. The Proprietor/Visitor to the college is Most Rev. Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji, the Roman Catholic Bishop of Umuahia Diocese.
The institution is a brainchild of Rev. Fr. Christian Uche Anokwuru, assisted by Rev Fr Jude Amaechi. Conceived in line with the vision of His Lordship, Most Rev L.I Ugorji who had shown great passion and desire for a College that will produce health personnel to service the diocesan healthcare facilities in the hinterland and also bridge the gap in healthcare needs in the state.
